Polar bears, brown bears, and ice bears are all different names for the same species, Ursus maritimus. They are the largest land carnivores and are well-adapted to their Arctic environment. The name "polar bear" refers to their habitat in the Arctic, "brown bear" refers to their color variation found in some populations, and "ice bear" is another name used for them in some cultures. Despite these different names, they are all the same species with similar physical characteristics and behaviors. **

During the winter, I make sure to provide my outdoor cats with shelter from the cold weather. I have insulated shelters with blankets or straw inside to keep them warm. I also provide them with plenty of food and fresh water, as it can be harder for them to find food during the winter months. Additionally, I check on them regularly to make sure they are safe and healthy. **

Polar bears are not actually brown bears. While they are closely related to brown bears, they have evolved separately and are now considered a distinct species. Polar bears have adapted to their Arctic environment with features such as a thick layer of blubber and white fur, which help them survive in the cold and hunt for seals on the sea ice. In contrast, brown bears are found in a wide range of habitats and have different physical characteristics to suit their environments. **

Bears are classified into eight different species, which are further divided into various subspecies. The eight bear species are: 1. American black bear (Ursus americanus) 2. Brown bear (Ursus arctos) 3. Polar bear (Ursus maritimus) 4. Asian black bear (Ursus thibetanus) 5. Sloth bear (Melursus ursinus) 6. Sun bear (Helarctos malayanus) 7. Spectacled bear (Tremarctos ornatus) 8. Giant panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) Each of these species may have several subspecies, which are further classifications within the species. **

During hibernation, black bears enter a state of reduced metabolic activity, lowering their body temperature and heart rate. They do not eat, drink, urinate, or defecate during this time. Black bears typically find a sheltered spot, such as a cave or hollow tree, to hibernate in. They may also build a den by digging a hole or using natural materials. Hibernation allows black bears to conserve energy and survive the winter when food is scarce. **

No, gummy bears are not hard. They have a soft and chewy texture due to the gelatin and sugar they are made from. Gummy bears are popular candies enjoyed by many for their fun shapes and fruity flavors. **

Bears are not typically considered timid creatures. They are large, powerful animals that can be aggressive when they feel threatened or cornered. However, bears will usually try to avoid confrontations with humans and will only attack if they feel their safety or territory is being threatened. It is important to give bears their space and respect their natural behaviors to avoid any potential conflicts. **
